We purchased windows from this company, one has a huge defect . Tried and tried to get them to at least order us a new window, we were willing to pay what it cost. They have ignored us for over a year now. NEVER AGAIN will I do business with them.

    Response from the owner

Hi Judy we apologize for the inconvenience. We will be in touch within the next few days to address the situation. Thank you- Kim Wilson.

We called Campbell's about a year ago to get a quote on our roof. It took a few phone calls to finally get someone to answer us but we were finally able to get them scheduled to look at our roof. They were nice to us then and everything went fine. A few months later we had this horrible hail storm! We decided to finally have our roof done and, again, contacted Campbell's. We gave them half down for the job up front. This was the beginning of July. We were told that the job would get done at the end of August or very first of September. After the end of August came and went and we hadn't heard from them, we decided to try and call just to see where we were on the schedule. My husband called several times for a couple of weeks and almost daily for a week and left messages with the receptionist. We couldn't even get a courtesy phone call back! It was extremely frustrating as we only wanted to know where we were on the schedule and nothing more. I felt that we were not important enough to them to give us a two or three phone call back. My husband called on a Saturday and finally got an answer from Reuben. My husband told him that we wanted our money back since we decided to go with someone else as we had not heard back from him in weeks. We explained that we were waiting to get our roof done for an appraisal on our home and Reuben told us that having a new roof would not impact the value of the appraisal at all! After some frank discussion we told him we just wanted our money back. We got our money back promptly. I can't attest to their quality of work, but I can tell you that the lack of communication is frustrating and unprofessional. I hope in the future that they will be able to learn to communicate better and efficiently with their customers, who are paying them a lot of money to get work done! (The response to this initial review was just another proof of the lack of communication. We had tried to call previously but, as another frustrated caller noted in another review, the mailbox was always full and we couldn't get someone to answer. Also, we don't have, nor have ever, had a metal roof. We wanted to update our shingles to metal. That would have been made apparent if someone from this company had come and looked at it sometime this year. Also, I didn't say my husband called every day for a week. I said he called several times during the week. It's sad that a business can't just admit that they made a mistake. And good for you for keeping such good records! We can all learn from times like this and it's okay!)

    Response from the owner

Dear Nicole, I’m so sorry that you felt it necessary to write a negative review about our business. Your comments are not entirely true. According to our phone messaging software and computer/email records: 2017: 9/25 - Scott emailed me (from our website) to request a metal roof bid. 2017: 9/27 - Reuben met with Scott at your home and got field measurements for your roof. 2017: 10/11 – Bid #5336 was emailed to Scott’s email address. 2017: 10/23 - Scott emailed Campbell's: "Kim, I know its a busy roof season, are you still scheduling fall jobs or are you booking for next spring? This may be a dumb question but do you roof through the winter after it snows? also I was wondering do you do in-house financing? thank you so much for your help. -Scott- 2017: 10/23 – I replied to Scott’s question (via email): "Hi Scott, I’m going to ask Reuben to call you today or tomorrow. Your questions are good ones! Can he call you this evening?" Seven (7) months later (Note: Hail Storm occurred 4/7/18): 2018: 5/24 – Scott called our office and wants Reuben to revise bid# 5336 (dated 10/11/17) and he also wants a bid to replace the soffit & fascia. (Scott didn’t mention any hail damage to the existing metal roof). 2018: 6/15 – Scott calls our office to ask if Reuben’s had a chance to revise the bid. He’s anxious to get on our job schedule and get the work done. (Still no mention of any hail damage to the existing metal roof). 2018: 6/25 – Reuben revised bid# 5336 (but he only revised the metal roof price. He forgot to add the price to replace soffit & fascia.) The new bid# 5532 was emailed to Scott on 6/26. 2018: 6/28 – Scott called our office about bid# 5532 and NOW he claims his old metal roof was damaged by hail. Therefore, his insurance company will pay for the roof and he needs a separate bid to replace the soffit & fascia (because the soffit & fascia will be Scott’s financial responsibility). 2018: 7/5 – I sent the following email message to Scott: "Hi Scott, Because your roof has hail damage, Reuben needs more information in order to revise your bid according to the information on your insurance company’s paperwork (i.e. determine additional costs to tear off old metal panels, possibly 2 layers of old shingles under old metal roof & dumpster/landfill fees). Can you either call our office today (or) stop by with your insurance papers? Thank you, Kim" 2018: 7/5 – Reuben spoke to Scott and the new roof is on the job schedule. I made a note in Scott’s file that Reuben will stop by his house at a later date to measure for soffit & fascia. 2018: 7/6 – The Klingler’s paid ½ down on the roof (only) and picked out a color for their new roof. Reuben told Scott & Nicole an “approximate” roof installation time-frame of late August or September. 2018-September: Scott called our office a couple of times for Reuben about when we were going to start on his roof. On 9/11/18 (Tuesday), Scott called again because Reuben hadn’t returned his phone calls. He told me that he’s requested an appraisal for his home and it can’t be done until the roof is installed. I gave Reuben another message to call Scott back. 2018: 9/15 (Saturday) – Scott called our office and the call was transferred to my cell phone. Reuben spoke to Scott and he apologized for not calling Scott back in a timely manner. Reuben did tell Scott that “having a new roof would not impact the value of the appraisal”. Reuben also told Scott that his roof was next on the job schedule and it was to be installed during the week of 9/24. But Scott just wanted to cancel the roof job and receive a full refund. (FYI: Scott admitted to Reuben that he didn’t call our office several times for a couple of weeks nor did he call our office every day for a week.) 2018: 9/17 (Monday) I emailed a credit memo to Scott & he replied, "Thank you for working with me on this. You can send the check to me in the mail." Reply respectfully submitted by Kimberly Wilson, Co-owner of Campbell's Quality Exteriors

The lady who answered the phone was rude to me. All I wanted was a quote on a repair of the siding on my house and then schedule the repair later when they could do it. She told me my job was to small for them. No, really, she actually said those words! When I asked if they would at least come out and look at what I needed, she lectured me and then hung up on me. Rude person. In my opinion, I would avoid this company! If a small thing causes this kind of reaction.... beware. Now, to find a siding company that treats people with respect.

I cannot ignore your bad review about me (and my business) any longer. I would like to contact you in person but...how can I reach you? I don't have your name, address or phone# listed in our accounting software/customer records. I have searched high and low in my office for proof that we actually spoke to each other earlier this year and unfortunately, you are not listed on my daily phone call log. I can also testify in a courtroom and place my hand on a "stack of bibles" that I did not tell you that your "job was too small" for us to bid. I hope you'll call our office again and give me another chance to prove that I'm a nice person. I'm still learning how to be a good business owner (as well as a good receptionist) and one of the golden rules that I try to follow every day is: "If a caller is rude or disagreeable, do not take offense but continue to be courteous and anxious to help".
